She murmured softly, her eyes sliding closed as she once more tried to keep herself from crying. God, she wanted so badly to be in his arms and it just seemed to never really stop, the need to be with him. She had tried to run away from him, from the feelings he invoked, she had tried to get angry with him but as soon as she saw him hurting all she wanted to do was help him feel better even though her own heart was breaking. "Don't want you to get sick or anything..."

  • (Had it been Addie or one of the others to bring him food and insist that he eat, he would have just let the plate sit there all night.. might have picked at it a little throughout the evening but would have never have eaten enough to fill his stomach. But it was Haylie that had asked, and he would do just about anything she told him to do to appease her at that moment, so he looked over at the plate and sighed a little bit.) I will. (He said after a moment, though his eyes returned to her and after a second of hesitation, he reached out to run the backs of his fingers over her cheek when her eyes closed, his own gaze softening from the sudden need he was feeling to be close to her.
