She hesitated obviously, watching him for a second before she let out a soft breath and nodded a little. "Yeah...yeah...I'll stay," She could be making a huge mistake, she had no idea what she was thinking in putting herself out there for him but she just couldn't bring herself to leave. It was starting to get a little chillyin there so he let out a soft breath and shifted to allow him to stand and tend to the fire, her brow furrowed a little as she dropped her gaze to the floor to try and talk some sense into herself to no avail. The only thing she could think of was she loved him and if her staying would take that hurt out of his eyes then she would be all for it for the moment. Her tongue ran across her lips as she watched him before she finally spoke. "Your food is getting cold." She stated softly, her eyes on him. "It's still early...kinda early for bed..." She wasn't so tired yet and she couldn't see anything good coming out of them just sitting and staring at each other...

(He moved from her after running his hand over her cheek one last time. By the hearth, he knelt to stoke the coals beneath the remaining log before adding a couple more in and poking around until the fire had raised up. After holding his hands over it for a moment, he flipped the grate to let the air in to keep it burning hot and then turned to walk over to her. Seeing her sitting there, her brow furrowed and confusion written all over her, he felt a deep tenderness rise up inside him, making him want to take care of her - to prove that he could be the man she wanted him to be and that she couldn't go through life without loving and trusting him.)
