AnnMarie Ford passed away today from her battle with brain cancer. I don't know what to say and can't imagine this happening to someone so young. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially Brendan and Ashley (a Smith Houlihan dancer). She was surrounded by friends and family in her home and didn't want to pass on Mother's day. She passed away at 12:16 (doing things her way) Ann was the ultimate feis mom and for those of us who knew her we can imagine her in heaven now "orgaining" something and smoozing with the right people or judges who all knew her from her dancing days. She never stopped moving and did everything for her children. She practically ran the Smith Houlihan feis even after being admitted the night before to the hospital when she was initially diagnosed. ARRANGEMENTS: Thursday May 15,3-8 at Dolan Funeral Home in East Milton Square. Funeral will be held at St.Brendan's Church in Dorchester at 10:30 a.m. on Friday May 16. Burial in Couch Cemetary, Marshfield, followed by a gathering of friends at Florian Hall, Dorchester.

Hi all...another great day...It started out with Jen placing 7th!!! Danced great in her new gorgeous dress.... This great bit of news was followed by Tabitha placing 13th...fantastic job..you should have seen that competition..wow! Next up was Caitlin and Megan Mac....Caitlin wowed us with some version of a slip jig that will never be seen again (trust me!), but it worked (maybe we will keep it) and placed 12th..and Megan was fabulous...tried out 2 new steps today and made them look like she had been dancing them forever..great job...

I just wanted to take a minute to congratulate Clifden Academy on their outstanding work at the Bremer feis. I had the ability to watch a few of your girls dance. They looked beautiful. I cant believe you guys! I could never kick my feet up that high. CONGRATULATIONS!!

What a great day for Clifden! Tabitha's going to open! Kristen what an amazing job today! The LaForest girls placed and rocked today. Anna, Sammy, Shannon, Meghan Healy, Molly & Caroline brought home the bling! Caitlin, Megan,& Maryanne did a great job today. I hope I'm not leaving anyone out (sorry), I may have left before all the results (what nerve). ?Maeve & Kyle? not sure how you did. It's nice to see all the kids watching and supporting each other. Thanks Eileen once again for running around to see our kids. We can't tell you how much that means to us. I can't think of a better group of people to spend a Saturday in a crowded, loud, & stifling hot room with. Susan

Wow what an amazing weekend! So many highlights! -Watching Aidan, Eileen, Julie and all the parents run from room to room to support our kids -Thanks!(did you wear comfortable shoes)! -Watching our first junior team - va va va boom, great job I thought you would place for sure! -Watching the adult teams - they were awesome, not a room in the house for that competition! - We had some disappointments & kids not placing & nice surprises for those who did place but the common theme was that the kids supported & hugged each other regardless of how they did, it was amazing to watch. CLIFDENITES ARE VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE!

Hi...just wanted to update you all on today's feis...Tabitha got 2nd!!!!! Fantastic job....and How about Megan Hardiman.....12th...first time placing in Prelim. I am so happy for you two! And not to be outdone, Maeve got her second 1st in her PW Slip Jig...and placed hi in all her other dances..way to go Maeve. Caitlin had a great day, bad knee and and all..only 2 out...great job. And poor Kristen, danced with 101 temp....but did well all the same. What a trooper...Thanks everyone for making my day!

Heyy everyone! On Monday I came home and opened my bag and realized I had two pairs of practice shoes! They are the pink ones that most people have. They are a little bit bigger than mine and have a smudge of pink on the bottoms. If they are yours call me so I can bring them on Wednessday or even Monday!

We (me & Caitlin) have your sneakers from Tabitha's house. We're holding them hostage until Wednesday at dance..then u can get them back from Caitlin. I'm going to the cape for a week Monday morning then me & Caitlin have camp for a week..so I'll see you in TWO weeks!

Just back after a long ride, but well worth it! Competition was great to watch...Kristen had a good heavy round which included a slip and collision with the other dancer, but her slip jig was fabulous...didn't recall but all around a great experience....
I hope to have all you guys dancing at next years Nationals....(back in Tennessee in 2008!)...
Congratulations Kristen for qualifying for the Nationals, that in itself is a great achievement!!!!

We are looking for a parent (mom or dad) who can help us sell the "designer" bags on Saturday (any hours between 10 & 4:00). Thanks and congratulations to everyone..some hightlights...Nora got her first trophy, Kathleen got a first and Third, Anna continues to wow us and got three Firsts, Maryanne had a sweep with her four thirds, M. Healy with 2 3rds (and really close on the others)..and Olivia with a First and Second..the trophy's were piling up everywhere!!!!! Regarding our Prelim/Open group...great showing, Tabitha is continuing her winning streak placing 9th (loved the sash)...Krista was only one out; Kelsey, Megan and Caitlin all danced well...M. Hardiman danced great and Kristen danced her heart out...getting closer every time!

I justed wanted to say congrats to all of the CLIFDEN dnacers who danced in the fies today. You all did awesome. You guys are so amazing. I love the new clifden dress(modeled off by Anna today)!! Congratz to all. Even f you didnt place remember we all still love you and you guys are all champions in our eyes.
Anna rocked this place when she danced!Some peoples eyes popped out when they saw the champion(A.K.A. Anna).For only a seven year old, she was awsome and I think that she was the best in her whole group.

“ BROADWAY” EVENT A SUCCESS! FUNDRAISER RECAP
Our first ever collaborative fund raising effort with the Woman’s Club was held on March 31 and was quite a success, raising approximately $4,000 to be divided between the two organizations. The quality of the musical performances was excellent, including an infusion of youthful energy in the forms of the Milton High After-school Singers and the high-stepping Clifden Academy of Irish Dance.
The auditorium truly had a buzz as approximately 100 people sampled the excellent fares from East Milton Wine & Spirits while perusing the 18 silent auction items collected from an array of generous donors. Many, many people contributed to this event and while thanking all who attended, donated, or worked that evening is not feasible, we would like to highlight a few superstars whose efforts truly shone “On Broadway”:
