I remember them. I remember when they were torn down and how the area gave the impression of a forgotten ghost town. I remember rummaging through the ruins and absorbing the memories of what used to be a vital community. They should have been preserved as a time capsule of a period in post-war America now almost forgotten except by a handful of people like us.
