Yuki- To answer both, he got there the same way Landon did and the people of Gaia eventually killed the planet. Most of the life forms were spared- humans left, other races came in and saved the animals. Hence why some of them- like T'nar- are clearly Earth created birds that behave in abnormal manors or have evolved past their initial capacity.

Katsuro- So.... My twin brother.... died millions of years before either of us was born?
