(He hadn't meant to fall asleep, it had just been a really stressful month for him and it was wearing him out to keep pushing on.. especially when he would much rather be out in the field lookig for Shay than sitting in the restaurant going over evidence that would only waste their time. When she slammed the notebook, he jumped a little and his brow furrowed as he blinked his eyes a couple of times, yawning and stretching out the discomfort in his back. Arching a brow, he watched in a half-awake stupor as she packed up the evidence, then looked at his watch and groaned.. he had slept for an hour.. Getting to his feet, he followed her like a lovesick puppy for a few feet before remembering to pay for his food, tossing the bills on the table and jogging after her.) Haylie.. (He called out when he reached the door, jogging across the parking lot to where she was heading for their SUV. He didn't know what he would say if he caught her, but he did feel guilty, just not particularly remorseful.)

"Keys." She demanded as she turned, holding her hand out palm up to wait for him to hand them over. If he was to tired to do any damn work then he sure as hell wasn't driving. Her jaw was set and her dark eyes were guarded, the wall up in place firmly to hide any emotions from his searching - if he actually even cared - gaze. The icequeen was there in full effect, it was like the man in front of her had never even touched her soul as he had. She was an agent now and if he wasn't going to pull his weight in whatever area he could when he could do it then she was more then willing to just leave him alone and do her work on her own.
