This was the reaction that he had been expecting, though if it had been him and his wife, he would have tossed that filing cabinet right through the window. At this point in his life he had no one to run to, no one would fight his battles for him.. this was all in his hands, and even though he had assembled the best team of intel and field agents there was to find Shay, he still felt like it was his fight and that he was alone in the world. He had a woman and a child to save and all he wanted to do was tell her he loved her. His eyes remained narrowed in a barely kept rage as his hand opened and closed, blood flowing from his cracked knuckles.) I know she is, but she needs to be here. With me.
