(He furrowed his brow as she spoke, taking in what she said and chewing his lower lip as he tried to figure it all out himself.) I love her.. I just thought about it and then decided to ask her. (He slowly let it sink in that Haylie was gone and it all seemed to surreal to take in.. it was as though someone had handed him the heart he had been missing his whole life and then when he'd made the first mistake they had snatched it away from him. He felt his chest getting tight as she tried to make him understand just how badly he'd messed it up, and by the time she was done he was feel desperately defensive and stood up as a tear slipped down his cheek, his eyes narrowing at her as she spoke.) Don't you think I know? (He said angrily, stepping back and shaking his head, his hands shaking as he tried to get everything settled in his mind.. he wanted to find Haylie, he had to find her.. it was just too much for her to take alone and damnit, he needed her.) What am I supposed to do? (He said after a second of anger, the defeat taking over, the scared little boy inside him looking out at her.)
