Subject: She let out a soft breath, looking over at him and knowing he was uncomfortable. They had been driving about an hour now so when she saw a sign for a greyhound station she pulled into it. "Come on, as soon as we get a rental somewhere I'll give you a shot and you can sleep while I drive ok?" She questioned softly, putting the SUV into park and looking over at him, leaning over to brush his hair back - a natural habit now - before she pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "No argueing, your hurtin' and there's no reason for you to be hurtin' when we're driving. Just get through the time on the bus and then you can be in druggie heaven." She smiled softly, brushing his lips with hers once more before she pulled back, waiting to make sure he was going to agree with her.

(He said, though it was obvious from the look in his eyes that he was just saying so to avoid being a baby about his back. He really was suffering, they had done a massive amount of damage to his back and every nerve was raw. He nodded at her question though and smiled when she kissed him.) I won't argue if you keep kissing me like that. (He said with a smile, enjoying the almost companionable relationship they had slipped into without much thought about it. He liked carelessly touching her just to be near her, and having her fuss over him made him feel important to her, and that feeling was so rare that he leaned on it.)
