"I think I am up for it, by the way, they said that I could eat whatever I wanted and with the vicadin it hardly even hurts to swallow at all now..I can wear a scarf or something around my neck..." (He liked talking with her, she made him feel at ease with himself.. which was odd since he wasn't used to being so comfortable with a woman around. He lived with Remy because he was like a brother and he purposefully kept everyone else pushed away because they made him feel uncomfortable. But with Haylie, he felt like he could be himself and she wouldn't be annoyed wit that. He jumped a little at her touch, but calmed and looked over his shoulder at her words.)
