(He pressed another kiss to her lips as she smiled at him, wanting to share that smile with her as well as the emotion and sentiment behind it. She brought out this romantic and affectionate side of him, inspiring him to look for ways to make her smile or to bring a shine to her eyes.) I would like that very much. (To spend time in the place where he had given her the promise ring and she had given him herself.. it seemed like a fitting place for them to spend some of their honeymoon, which would be a month of his time off. He smiled as he thought about Kyr and Haylie, about how it would be fitting for his friend and partner to fall in love just as he was getting married. He didn't want to leave the other man working, it scared him to think of Kyrian alone on the job- the man could work himself to death without someone to stop him.)

(He watched her quietly for a long time, enticed by the way she moved and the way her eyes softened as she looked at Remy and Shay. He wondered if she was thinking along the same lines that he was, and then wondered how hard it would be for the two of them to part ways after this week was out. He just couldn't put that much into it, that was all there was to it.. they had to keep their relationship light, it had to be something born of lust and consentual sex- that was all it could ever be. He wasn't the kind of man to marry like Remy was, to be comfortable with feeling trapped into a relationship, with worrying about her and knowing that she worried about him.. it just wasn't something he could do. He would not end up like his own father, pennyless and destroyed inside, sitting at home while his wife was out screwing the entire town and his sons had walked out on him. He swallowed the rest of the champagne in his glass and set it down, his eyes having darkened considerably in his thoughts.)
