Subject: She was still breathing heavily, her eyes slowly coming into focus as she saw he was there, in front of her, holding her and looking so worried for her. Her hand came to rest on his chest, moving down over his stomach and then back up to cup his jaw, swallowing heavily. Her eyes moved everywhere her hand did, as if making sure that what she was feeling was real and that he was really there in front of her, alive and ok. Seeing that, the relief seemed to cause her whole body to sag under the weight of it and she collapsed against his chest, forgetting momentarily about the bruising there as the dam within her broke and she was gasping and sobbing against his chest, holding herself to him. The depth of her emotion was astounding, she would never admit that she had gotten so attached to him but the sheer magnitude of her relief spoke volumes.

Her tears brought his own pain to light and he shed a few of his own for what she'd been through for him adn what he had suffered.. but more for how this was continuing to affect her.
