• (He had come back from the hospital and gone to his room to shower and change into a fresh pair of jeans and a black tee that showed off his toned body perfectly. When he had sat down on his bed, he realized just how much his mind was running through the evidence and decided that he needed to look throught he room one more time. He slipped into his doc marten sandals and walked over to the office, letting himself think about the day and the shooting. If he had been the shooter, they would have never seen him in the window, so he knew the guy was sloppy and had to have left something behind. He didn't see her, rather he smelled her there.. the heady scent of woman, shampoo and something similar to sandalwood that shot straight to his groin and made him want to groad outloud, it was just so her.) • "Since you left." She stated flatly, not bothering to look up as he came in. She pursed her lips, her brow furrowed as she tipped her head back and ran a hand down her face. This was going to drive her nuts until it was settled, it was just how she was. She couldn't have an open case for to long or it started to piss her off. She was still in the same leather suit, never having bothered to change, besides, she could move easily in it, it was fitted to her body like it was a second skin instead of a suit, it was easier to work in then jeans and a hoodie. • (He ran his finger down the edge of the windowsill, looking at the lack of dust on his fingertip, knowing that the man had cleaned the surface before he'd split.) I take it no light bulbs have gone off above your head then? (He said in an absent but teasing tone, shifting his weight to lean out the window and look at the glass from the other side.) There's some gunpowder residue on the outside of this glass.. who did the collection? (There were a few less adept agents working for them, it bothered him when things didn't get handled properly.) Any prints found? (He looked at her then, and immediately wished he hadn't.. that leather just begged to be peeled from her body and his hands were offering to do the work.) • "I don't know who did the collection but I know they got a sample and it brought up nothing, just like everything has. No prints, the serials are scratched off the gun, its a common make, there's no way to trace it to anywhere..." The frustation was evident in her voice, her hand reaching up to rake through her hair in agitation. "Obviously, this is connected to the same person who messed with you and your partner but I just don't understand why Shaylinn and not Boelyn, it just doesn't make sense." She shook her head, her brow furrowed heavily. "Why shoot the PR person when the presidential canidate is standing right next to her?" She frowned, running her hand down her face as she looked over to where Kyrian was looking at her. "You seem close to the girl, do you think this is something personal? Has she pissed off someone?   • She rolled her eyes, resting her head back. "It could be anyone in the damn navy who wants that base built. She's the main thing stopping them and creating a public uproar about it. He might be hoping if he takes her out that it will die down and the base will get built on schedule." She shrugged her shoulders, finally standing up and stretching her arms over her head, she'd been sitting on that floor for nearly an hour. "He didn't leave us anything to go on in the least, the only thing we can do is maybe go through all the navy contacts here - see if anyone of them are really pushing for the base...since thats our only really solid fact we have." She shrugged again. "As much as I hate to say it, we may have to just wait until he tries to strike again. • (He listened to her with an agent's ear, processing and looking strength and weakness in the statements.) It has to be someone higher up if it's Naval.. they have inner contact with the agency. (He stopped again and looked over at her, arching a brow and slipping his hands back through his hair thoughtfully.) You know what? I just thought of something.. (He looked like he was trying to move the chair with brain waves alone, when really he was just trying not to look at her lithe frame, tightly bound in leather and stretching catlike against the wall.) ..Shannon was acting really strange at the restaurant yesterday and disappeared just before Remy and I got sick.. • She frowned at that, tipping her head to the side thoughtfully. "Shannon as in your supervisors wife?" She questioned, mulling that in her brain for a moment. "I don't know much about either one of them..." She shrugged her shoulders a touch. "It's worth looking into if you have a suspicion about her." She was all about going with your gut instincts. A soft groan escaped her lips as she shifted to try and stretch her sore body, her hand going to her lower back as she stretched out. "I can try and get some dirt on them without arousing any suspicion." She had still yet to tell him her name, it just wasn't something she thought to just throw out randomly. I've been thinking about hitting that hottub again.. I think the one time just wasn't enough. (He said, a small smirk playing over his features as he watched her stretch and shift.. or perhaps a massage wouldn't kill him. He just figured if he let a woman touch his entire body like that it would just leave him frustrated from lack of intimate contact.) You think those massage therapists actually help? • She pursed her lips as if thinking about something for a second before she spoke again. "I have the hottub from midnight till three again if you want to use it your welcome to join." She stated after thinking it over for a second, wondering if it was a good idea to spend time with this man outside of a business aspect but then having dismissed her worries. "..and yeah, I think a massage would help, they could ease out some of the tension and soreness at least." She shrugged her shoulders, letting out a soft breath as she gazed around the room. "There's really nothing else we can do here, maybe ballistics will get something from the bullet." She brought her eyes back up to him, the bright blue almost startling in the dimly lit room. Stopping a few feet from her, he leveled a look in her direction.) That sounds good, thanks. I'll meet you down there at midnight. (He tilted his head, regarding her with a thoughtful look, wondering just what would make her reveal something about herself.. she was so closed up it was like he could see the wall in front of her.) Is there a reason why you haven't told me your name, or are you just hoping I won't notice you're a real person. (He stated, his expression remaining calm and focused, more intuitive than sarcastic, he really wanted to know what made her so intriguing to him. • She had nodded and started to pick her things to head out of the room with that before he asked his question. Slowly, she straightened, a small smirk quirking up the corner of one side of her full lips. "You never asked and most people don't really need to know my name to work with me." She stated honestly, shrugging her shoulders as she pulled her leather messenger bag over her shoulder, pulling her raven hair out from under her collar as she gazed at him curiously. There was something different about this man that she couldn't quite put her finger on but for some reason it made her a little nervous, a little offset and she wasn't sure she liked that feeling. His gaze rose slowly to the raven hair she had just moved, and his hand lifted to sift through it lightly, as though he had just needed to see if it was as soft as it looked. • Her natural feminine insticts as a woman wanted her to close her eyes and embrace the fact that she enjoyed the feel of his fingers in her hair, she loved having her hair played with, a weakness not many people knew about. Her training as an agent had her eyes searching his instead though, as if searching for his motives in the touch. Everyone always seemed out to get something and she wanted to know what he was trying to get out of this. "Haylie." She murmured softly, her voice softer then she had wanted it to be. He swallowed, giving away the fact that she unnerved the man in him, and the fact that she didn't stop him from touching her had him lightly playing with the hair that had spilled over her shoulder, his head tilting just a little as he watched her, trying to guage just what was going on here. She stated softly, her words a mere whisper before she seemed to realize what she was doing and shook her head, stepping back and looking behind her out the window for a second, as if to pull herself out of the trance she had just gotten pulled into. "Right, well, yeah, if you want to use the hottub, your more then welcome, like I said." She stated, her brow furrowed as she tried to grasp at her train of thought. "I am going to go see if there was any luck in the lab at tracing those pills that were given to McLean." She was acting a little off, but then he had been so close to her that just about anyone might have felt imposed upon. Nonetheless, he kept his ground and watched her, his features expressionless.)
