(He had finished off his food like a starved wolf, with relish and had even licked his fingers clean. Murmuring his thanks for cleaning up, he had again settled himself on the floor on his stomach, grunting when the small gun in his pocket dug into his hip. He pulled it out and laid it flat on the floor next to him. It was a simple gun, built for concealment, small enough for even Shay to grip comfortably. He had it on him because he felt unsafe without his gun, and the shoulder holster wouldn't have been practical when he wasn't on assigned duty. His eyes lifted to meet hers as he worked, smirking still from having played with her piles. He was amused and duelly pleased with himself at having caused her distraction enough to stop working.) Three years. They partnered him with me for his basic training, I showed him the ropes. (He had only been in the force 2 years when he'd been offered a trainee, and after having met Remy he'd decided to go ahead and do it.. they had worked together perfectly.) Do you have a partner?

  • She just didn't like trying to work on a full stomach, that was all. She yawned softly with her fully tummy as she leaned back, watching him with bright, curious eyes. A small, sweet smile played over her lips as she thought that over before she spoke. "He's pretty protective of you, it seems." She stated with a small smile, it was nice, she thought, to have someone who obviously had your back so thoroughly in not only duty but also matters of the emotions and heart. At his question, she shook her head, her brow furrowed a little. "No, I just started working field work about three months ago, well, not even that." She stated with a shrug. "They haven't tried to pair me up with anyone, I don't think they believe I would work well with a partner."
