He knew that she was attracted to him, probably still harbored deep feelings for her as he figured he might for her as well. The only difference was that he was prepared to shove those feelings aside in order to keep her safe right now and allow himself to slip back off to his job when this one was over with. If he fell in love with her agian he would only be putting them both in danger of his weaknesses when it came to her.. it was safer for them both if he just kept his heart locked up in that little steel box with the heavy padlock.   • She frowned at that tone, heading into the bathroom and shutting the door behind her, managing to totally and completely ignore him. He was a cold hearted bastard and she wanted nothing to do with him at this moment. She smiled a little, she liked being able to have the one up on him. She carefully undressed herself and stepped into the shower, humming quietly to herself as she lathered up her hair and let the water soothe her irrations away.
