In an e-mail that I received just today it was announced that Polaroid will discontinue ALL INSTANT FILM PRODUCTS. How many of yu took the Image Transfer class not long ago? Well that process will soon be a thing of our past. Fuji makes two Instant Films, one Color the other Black & White. To the best of my knowledge neither of them would be suited for the Image Transfer procedure. I have, and on occasion still do use Instant Film in determining exposure in more difficult lighting situations as well as checking the accuracy of my light meters. I have a known setup as far as time of year as well as time of day whereby in suing my meters to take a reading and then shooting an Instant Film. I compare the result with previous result to see if and/or how much variance there might be in the readings.
Not long ago I took my 4X5 camera to Ohio, where my wife is from originally, and took photos of some digital age kids while using Instant Film. I think that you can figure that they were BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER when they saw the image in print form so quickly.
