The game is much better with the new rules. It makes it more exciting and I'm glad to see the ties done away with.

Some of us do like hockey more than the guys who play it. See the Stortini thread, a few of us do know a thing or two about the game.

I love the game! I was a fan of the game for a long time before I met any of the players I know nowadays.

As for the new rules, I think they really helped. The game is much more exciting and even faster. I love the shootouts--> I always hated ties! I do wish their was still the fighting aspect of the game. So many of the refs are breaking scraps up--> that was one of the exciting and unique things about hockey.

I live in the South and it's unusual to find a hockey fan around here, but I have taken a lot of people to games with my season tix. Almost all of them have become fans and have attended additional games. The rules are definitley helping the league gain popularity!

Hmmm the new NHL rules :P At first I wasn't a big fan of the rules.. I mean soooooo many penalaties - the game had no flow and it was getting boring to watch. It seemed a bit excessive. But now that everyone has adjusted to the new rules, I find that the game has really opened up, no more clutching and grabbing - it def benefits highly skilled players... would def like to see these rules enforced in lower levels of hockey - such as minor hockey...
