Author: Mrs. Lawson
Subject: Socks

Gentlemen,

Since I have just surfaced from the Christmas rush, Doug Cooper was kind enough to let me know that he had made a rather strongly worded recommendation regarding proper socks for troops under his command at BGR.

Since he gave me a "heads up"--here's yours:

I am emphasizing this now. Our hand knitting production is 2 items per week. That's it, that's all. Does not matter if your house burned down or your dog ate them, we can't knit any fast than that. And that's at top speed, with no cooking or house cleaning going on, and with nobody sick. This is not our real jobs. We barely make minimum wage doing this. We cannot take off from our real jobs that pay our real bills in order to get your socks done.

That production rate will hold pretty true for any quality hand knitter in the hobby, be it Mrs. Lawson, Mrs Caudell, Mrs. Troxell, Miss Timour.........so don't be coming up the end of February pleading for socks--get your orders in to your chosen knitter now.

So, what's at the top of my work list right now is some custom orders taken in before Christmas, Joe Hoffman's January order, and stuff for the Banks Grand Retreat raffle.

If you need them, get your orders in......
