I am a little late in on this..

Tom, I totally agree with you.

Randy, The guidelines in general allow for folks if they wish to wear shoes instead of boots.

It's too late to change horses here.

As for the Federal Frocks on the march . Being that the Frock is only lined in the breast, and given the time of year the march will be there should be no problem. I did th efirst Red River in 1994 at this time of the year (March) and made every inch of the 75 miles in a fully lined wool sack coat & Wool trousers. as did several of the 1,000+ fellows who were there.

Outside of the shoe issue men ought to be able to do this given the impression.. It isn't that hard.
