Two options:

1. Send the weapons ahead of time via UPS ground to a UPS drop point in Alexandria or Shreveport. Pick them up and drive to the event. Several of us have packed the ammo in with the weapons in the past, but ask UPS if they still allow it with ground shipments.

2. Buy a locking metal gun case as Joe suggests and take it with you on the plane - Cabela's makes the best. One case can hold two long arms, plus bayonets. I have never had a single problem in 10+ trips - in fact the TSA guys think it's cool.

Ammo:

1. Have ammo vendor Mike Watson (see Camp Chase Gazette or Civil War Historian Magazine) make yours and ship them to a pick up point like UPS. He has the license to do it. Call now.

2. Check out Dusty Line below in the ammo thread. He can make it and deliver to you at the event.

3. Contact your company commander. There may be someone who driving who can take your ammo.

Good luck and thanks for coming!!

Doug Cooper
