Any guess on America's top 10? My guess so far based on the little I have seen and read is: Meg, Miss Mississippi, Florida, Kansas, California, Pennsylvania, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina

What makes you think Meg is in there, if she does make it, she will have a good chance as anyone else to win it all.

I think Meg has a great chance! However, I do not make predictions until prelims start. It is useless. You never know what clicks with the judges until the prelim wins start. That being said, I feel confident she will do her best.

Quit hyping her. Just enjoy her being Miss AL. She won't win at the finals.

There are many girls I think could win this year like Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana, Kansas, Kentucky, California, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Colorado.

I disagree with the post that Meg will not win, no one knows at this point. I do believe that she is capable of winning! She definitely has a chance.

Shouldn't we be hyping her? She is representing our state. I can't think of a better person to hype.

The photos in today's B'ham News were wonderful of Meg, I can't imagine any other contestant looking as good as her.

Unfortunately Meg had an obvious fall during talent. Landed on her backside. Recovered well, but a huge mistake. Could cost her any chance.

I thought that it was part of her routine to land like that. At least that was what she did at state. I didn't notice anything at allow that seemed out of the ordinary. I think that she did wonderful.

I don't think a fall in talent will keep her out of the top 15.

To the above poster regarding the "obvious fall on her back side" - there wasn't such. There were two slips, yes, but no obvious falls. Having seen her talent time and time again, I can assure you and everyone here the falls taken to the ground were choreographed that way, as they've been the same way in the past. There were two other dancers tonight that had a more obvious fall/slip than Meg did - there were obvious gasps in the audience when those two slipped, but not with Meg, which leads me to hope that hers was not that noticeable to the person who'd never seen her dance before. The stage is not good for pointe dancers - the only person who had no trouble in turns was NY and that was because she was barefoot.

Don't count her out, yet. Meg's a fighter and given the tiny error tonight, she'll be fighting that much harder for the crown over the next few nights. Fingers crossed she gets in finals so she can do it again!

Are the judges more up close and in your face this year?

If the photos of stage set up is to be believed, judges are on the stage not in front of it or on a lower platform. Several dancers had to make some changes after Orlando to compensate for that little "let's make it more interesting" change.

Meg's chances are great to place on Sunday night. Iowa may be tough.

Yes, finally a top 5. All the people who thought Caitlin Brunell would win last year and yet she didnt make top 5. Proud of both girls but really proud of Meg.

I have never met Meg and keep up with Miss Alabama peripherally nowadays. And I honestly thought Meg had won after her final answer. I understand that it's not based on final ballot but total points; still she should've had the points to add to her perfect final question score to make her the winner.
