Carolyn: We have loved your family for many years, from the time our Mother, Ann Quintana Brumfield, babysat George Ellis and kept books at the store. "Miss" Adele was beautiful inside and out! I recall the first time I met her as an 18-year-old girl heading to college and walking in The Hollywood Shop to see this beautiful lady with jewels and perfect make-up treating me as if I was as important as she! She taught much in her manners to others.
I remember too, calling on she and George Ellis as their representative for advertising, that each week she had the most magnificent bouquet of exotic flowers at her desk sent from you! It was the talk of the town how stunning each arrangement was and for as many years as I called on them (5) that new creation was there to behold each week and you could see how thrilled she was to receive those flowers each week. What a special bond you two must have shared. She wore jewels, but she truly was the jewel of McComb.....I loved her.......
