What a great day it was, the weather was perfect for racing. Yello Belly was the place to be and the track was hooking great. We had several 5 sec passes with no issues on how the track was hooking up. Kudo's goes out to Alley Cat.....anyone remember Alley Cat?? He has only been working at the Belly for like 20+ years. He had the track crew working like they need to be. The one oil down was properly cleaned up and we were back to racing in just a few minutes. It was nice to see all the racers that showed up to run what they brung, the Belly is a true DFW OUTLAW track. The race between BULLET I and KID.....well lets just say KID had some tunning issues and BULLET finnally won getting the win light. Gamez Racing had a couple of thier cars out and was putting down some serious numbers. If anyone has pictures they would like for me to post up on the board email then to me at bullet1962@sbcglobal.net
It is nice to go to a track where there is no drama and calling out over the speakers or waiting in the pits for hours just to find out the time curfew is here go home, just plain racing fun is what you get at YELLO BELLY. See everyone there next Sunday.

I agree that the Belly has been lacking upgrades for years,
But that said Kennedale as nice a track as it is ain't the belly. I'll take Alley Cat over some punk white boy lining my car out any day. Ms. Pat greedy as she may be never made me wear a fricken pair of Jeans in 100+ weather.
And as far as cheaper to race goes wait till one of those hick as Kennedale pigs pulls you over.

I JUST FOUND THIS SITE ,AND DAMN IT LOOKS FUN.I GREW UP AT YELLOW BELLY MY DAD HAD A ORANGE 66 CHEVELLE (PERSUASION). IT WAS LATE 70'S EARLY 80'S. WHO REMEMBERS RATZ AZZ, SWEET HARMONY, MR. QUICK AND WHO COULD FORGET THE GOLD COUPE SNUFF BOX. STILL HAVE A 66 CHEVELLE THUOGH, JUST ALOT NICER AND FASTER. Jackie you forgot to mention you stripped walters car you sold the motor rearend and wheels to mike a freind of mine that is a cop so all that was there was a hulled out rusted body that the quarters were completly gone all the way around you sold everything off the car and the chevelle rearend i told you to come and get it because i was having to move it from place to place and i did not sell it it was left behind at a house in balchsprings because i had nowhere to keep it and i had to get out by a curtain date and i never called JT a liar and i dont lie what was the hull of walters worth i will tell you black had a 3500 dollar motorcycle their and got 700 JT had 2 cars there worth250000 and got 39 the lawyers said they didnt want the one's that would cost them their case and there was 3 people and i couldent do nothing about that when i found out i was getting nothing dont think i wasent upset but their is nothing i can do so do what you want im not scared to take a ass wipping but i am not affraid to give one either i will not stand their and get my ass whipped bet that

Evel Knievel, the hard-living motorcycle daredevil whose jumps over Greyhound buses, live sharks and Idaho's Snake River Canyon made him an international icon in the 1970s, died Friday. He was 69.
Knievel's death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel. He had been in failing health for years, suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs.
Knievel had undergone a liver transplant in 1999 after nearly dying of hepatitis C, likely contracted through a blood transfusion after one of his bone-shattering spills.
Immortalized in the Washington's Smithsonian Institution as "America's Legendary Daredevil," Knievel was best known for a failed 1974 attempt to jump Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered cycle and a spectacular crash at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. He suffered nearly 40 broken bones before he retired in 1980.
Although he dropped off the pop culture radar in the '80s, Knievel always had fans and enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in recent years. In later years he still made a good living selling his autographs and endorsing products. Thousands came to Butte, Mont., every year as his legend was celebrated during the "Evel Knievel Days" festival.
"They started out watching me bust my ass, and I became part of their lives," Knievel said. "People wanted to associate with a winner, not a loser. They wanted to associate with someone who kept trying to be a winner."
His death came just two days after it was announced that he and rapper Kanye West had settled a federal lawsuit over the use of Knievel's trademarked image in a popular West music video.

If this statement was directed to, ‘SLACK’ let me, respond. First, no money is ever collected from any of my crewmembers. All of my crew members, volunteer there time but, their money. I do not expect them to sponsor my racing habits. When a bet is made, it’s based on the money that I have set aside to gamble!!!! I know there are haters in the world and I guess you hate on me. Ok, here is what we have so far. I had a meeting with Cindi tonight.

Gates will open at 3pm Friday. We will make 2 hits as a group Friday night, prob around 9 and 10. You can make as many passes before and after. If you want to match race someone during the 2 sessions you can.

You will be given 2 wrist bans at the gate Friday. With your tech card. One is for entry for the driver on Saturday and the other is for time slip. The driver will get in free at the gate for Friday and Saturday with a paid tech card. EVERYONE ELSE will pay full price. Best advice is buy the 2 day ticket and get it cheaper.

If you stay over night you will be required to pay for 2 day ticket.

Saturday: gates open at noon and Promods and KOTH will make 2 more qualifiying hits. You will be allowed to make test passes. Our drivers meeting will be at 5pm at concession stands and you will be required to be in the lanes at 530 UNLESS something changes and I will let you know. each round will be ran every hour, excluding finals and I think you will have a 2 hour break.

Our race will be handled the sameway as always. Kacie will be at the gate collecting JUST tech card money friday and saturday. Be advised if you break during a test lap, we will not be able to give back your tech card money, Make test hits at your own risk!!

Also, if a car makes a qualifiying attempt in any other class, it will not be allowed to enter our class!

You will be final teched on Saturday. Everyone knows the rules, there are no exceptions, if you do not know a rule, ask before you pay your $50 tech card!!

The payout is more because it is a two day deal, but we do not have total amount yet. We are working on somethings, But I can tell you it is already more than the normal race.

Ok, here is the offical information regaurding the dale. Cindy said, starting this Sunday the Dale will open at 2pm and will close at 9 pm. all cars are welcome, will run any light you want, ie: no time, full or pro tree.

It will be $10 to get in and $5 to race.

Belly charges $8 to get in and $6 to race, so Dale is charging only dollar more.

Lets Show the Belly how much they screwed up!

Let me start by saying in no way was I trying to take anything over or run things last night. LM had to leave and I offered to step in and try to get the show in. The fans deserved to get what they paid for. This is racer's helping racer's. So please go easy on the bashing part. And if anyone thinks what LM does is easy....STEP UP....it's not easy at all. when they shut yello belly down a few years back they had to allow the place to open back up because it was a "social Need" Dallas police were tired of business owners in the Dallas area complaining of their places being used for illegal activities street racing etc.

Kennedale was $5 run what you brung on Fridays no rules or regulations but they got big time and got insured and made everyone follow NHRA rules and regulations and if you didn't well fuck you! you can't race here no more thats the fucken reason Yello Belly became so damn popular no NHRA regulations so guess what the same motherfuckers talkin shit
about Yello Belly attendees are also talkin shit about people who used to run at Kennedale long before the rule change. You cannot bitch about the track the city of Dallas never prepped Kiest blvd and investment street for us did they Kennedale wouldn't let us run our crazy cars on their NHRA track we went to Yello Belly and were met with open arms. So you assholes talkin shit about the Belly go get a summit magazine and jack your ass off. I'm staying at the belly where the real motherfuckin outlaws race period!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for street cars No dragstrip would survive.
No other close drag strip offers a true run what you brung program except Cedar Creek and Danny is a cool motherfucker period. I like Nightmare and the kid as well but give me a couple mid 7 sec cars and let the fun begin. high 6 and 7 second cars are built by people who work for a living and wrench when the time allows, if a car that runs low 5's is the only thing in racing that appeals to you please please go to Kennedale red line Ennis etc. But Yello Belly is the ultimate street race track. I remember watching Gaylon Smith Bud Morgan The Sheriff all at the Belly. Cool people laid back place no ego issues. One love racing. Please take the time to shop around but if you truely love drag racing you can't beat Yello Belly

Subject: What a nice day of racing, I saw allot of racers there. There were some awesome races. KID did a great job trying to keep up with Fernando in the SPANISH FLY, but they had a little to much for us. KID hung in tough and gave them a good race. KID raced the X430, and we were lucky that they had some issues at mid track and KID was able to pull out a win finally. It has been awile. Hats off to the X430 crew for keeping it straight and no sh^& talking, they have my total respect and when they get that X430 car rolling WATCH OUT!! Here are some pics from the track. Enjoy!!

Ok, everyone, due to the extreme heat, TXR will open at 4 pm starting this Sunday. As you know we are staying open till curfew, which is 10pm. Women will still get in free after 5 pm.

Also let everyone know on

AUGUST 26th GATES WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL 6 PM Due to JR dragster finals.



After that weekend, the gate times will be 4p til 10p. Once fall gets here then it will change again, it is just to damn Hot.

Make sure you let everyone know the times, Please.
