Subject: FG Serial Actors Poll

Buster Crabbe, Charles Middleton and Frank Shannon were in all three serials, but some major characters were played by different actors throughout the trilogy. A 06/19/11 thread asked Which Barin do you prefer, so I thought I would add a few more characters and pose the same question.

The first one is the toughest for me Sgt Tim, the others are relatively straightforward.

For Dale Arden, I'll select A)..Jean Rogers, though Carol Hughes was in close second place.

For Princess Aura, no contest...definitely A)...Priscilla Lawson, in fact, 'til this day, I still wrestle with if I prefer Aura more than Dale Arden (character appearance and overall demeanor anyway). I still flip flop on this everytime I see '36 serial. Also, can't envision Ming as father in law. (But this was indeed the case later on.)

Prince Barin...definitely A)...Richard Alexander

Officer Torch...definitely A)...Earl Askam

High Priest...definitely B)....Ted Lorch

There might be 1 or 2 more, don't recall just now...but if I think of 'em, will post. Meanwhile, if Commander Rick knows of others, his input certainly welcome.

A for Jean Rogers and Priscilla Lawson. A for Barin and both A & B for Torch (his 1940 incarnation was said to be related to Torch, Sr.) and B for Ted Lorch.
