I agree, not scary but definitely suspenseful. You are sitting on the edge of your seat by the conclusion of The Planet of Peril in FG '36. Inside the arena Flash battles the three man killers (one of the trio lacks fangs, perhaps giving Flash an edge, heh). Then Aura takes action and she Flash are plunging toward The Pit!

Flash taking on the octosac in chapter three, Captured by Shark Men, is another classic cliffhanger moment.
