I scrolled down here and just saw your post now. All the music tapes Universal kept at the studio back then were shipped to the warehouse and put in dead storage since 1956. They will never pull them out for any commercial use. The only modern-day recording that was done was in 1993 by Silva for "Bride of Frankenstein." "Dance Macabre" is the cue you recall so well. It is on CD, but it has some differences from the original Waxman score, mainly no organ was used and replaced with synth.
