Subject: 34th anniversary of 'Star Wars' (1977)

The film that revived a sagging film business and gave life and meaning to people around the world in the age of the cynical 70's. It's cultural impact is still strongly felt today.

This spectacular from yesteryear still holds up well today to many. The originals had no CG (some was added later). It was an outstanding movie though, action, interest, shoot-em-ups, characters galore, good guys/bad, good story, and as Rick indicated, it gave life to the sagging film business. The classic original Star Wars, legendary.

A milestone motion picture that, as stated above, gave new life to a sagging film industry.

Star Wars, because of its tremendous success, gave science fiction a legitimacy that it never really had before in Hollywood.
