Subject: 31st anniversary of 'The Empire Strikes Back' (1980)

The second installment of the trilogy and the most complex that became one of the greatest motion pictures made and one of the few sequels that surpassed the original film and gave birth to Skywalker Ranch.

I tend to agree with Rick on this one, but feel torn at times. Sometimes I favor 1st installment owing to its Wowing power. but 2nd film seemed better overall. Solid story, interesting yet complex, a bit overdone with Yoda maybe(no offense to Frank Oz) but so many new revelations. Yes another great SW film. So I'll flip flop a bit, but maybe others do also between these installments, who knows.

While it's as quite as fast-paced as its 1977 predecessor, I still consider Empire the best installment of the series.

It contains one of the most surprising and memorable lines of dialogue in movie history, "No, I am your father", spoken by Darth Vader.

While it's NOT as quite as fast-paced as Star Wars (1977), I meant to say.

May the force be with you!
