According to a CBS website poll (http://abcnews.go.com/politics/PollTracker/fullpage?id=5611512)

Barack Obama leads John McCain 50% - 46% nation wide.
He leads 54% -41% with people making less than 50K per year.
He leads 50% - 47% with people making between 50K- 100K per year.
He is behind 44% - 54% with people making more than 100K per year.
He leads with collage graduates 52% - 45%.
He leads with non-college graduates 48% - 47%.
He is down in every religious category, but he’s up 69% - 28% with those claiming no religious affiliation.
He leads with moderates 56% - 38%.

If you break it down it looks like this…
Barack Obama leads the polls with 50% to John McCain’s 46%. Obama averages 52% of the vote to McCain’s 44% with people making less than 50K all the way to people making up to 100K (middle income/us). McCain leads 54% to Obama’s 44% with people in the higher earning levels (the rich). Obama has 52% of people with higher education opposed to McCain’s 45%. And he has a staggering 69% to 28% backing with those who do not let religion dictate their beliefs. And finally, he leads with 56% -38% with those that will most likely decide the race, the Independent.
