If McCain sat in a church led by a preacher who talked like one of those idiots at a KKK rally, would you defend him? Hmmmm. There's a church on every block. Don't you think he would have switched if he didn't agree with or want to promote Wright's views and hatred. And when you denounce what someone says only because you know you have to and after initially denying ever hearing any "controversial" views (then admitting you did), it doesn't carry much weight.
