Oh, but I did! I was about ten when I found the combination syringe's box with the hose and nozzles in it buried way back in the bathroom closet. There was no instruction booklet, but I had no trouble figuring out how the hose was attached to the bag.

The problem was that my mother never douched, so I never knew that there even was such a thing as douching until some time in high school. I thought all the nozzles were for enemas, even the fat one with the sliding shield!

I had to wait almost two weeks until I had the house to myself for a few hours and then that box came right out of the closet. I didn't bother with the two rectal pipes because they were so much like the pipe on our bulb enema that I knew what they'd be like. But those two big pipes ...

I filled the hot water bottle with warm water, attached the hose and hung the bottle from the shower curtain. Then I closed the clip - after getting water everywhere. I screwed the long thin douche nozzle on to the hose first and held it over the bathtub and released the clamp. Eight thin streams of water shot out from the tip and fell into the bathtub. Did I ever want to try that!

I smeared a lot of vaseline on the tip and then took off my shorts and panties and stepped into the tub. I bent over and tried to insert the nozzle, but it was awkward, so I put one foot up on the side of the tub and reached down from my side and easily found my rectum with the tip. I pushed a little and it started to slide in. I was surprised at how easily that tip went into me. The tip was rounded and fluted and it just slid right in, no pain or discomfort at all and I didn't have to press very hard. I got about half of it in before it hurt and I stopped pushing it. Then I stood there for a minute, holding the nozzle in place with one hand and the clip in my other, working up the nerve to open the clip. (I had never had an enema with an enema bag before, just the bulb syringe.)

I took a deep breath, said a little prayer, and flipped the clip open. And didn't feel anything! That was the last thing I expected because when mom squeezes the rubber bulb on our bulb enema, you very definitely feel the water squirting into you!

I thought something was wrong at first and was looking at everything, trying to figure out why the enema wasn't starting and then I suddenly felt the unmistakable feeling of water in my bowels and realized that everything was working just fine and I was getting an enema!

I was amazed at how gentle the enema was. With the bulb syringe, between laying across your mother's lap, the constant insertions and removals and the surge of water squirting into your rear every time the bulb was squeezed, you always knew you were getting an enema. With the combination syringe, I was standing in the bath tub, there was one easy insertion and when I clicked the release clamp, I hardly felt the water flowing in at all. I just felt an ever increasing sense of fullness as the bag emptied into my bowels and I soon had the familiar urge to go to the bathroom. The enema bag was much nicer than the bulb syringe!

After a while I could see the bag was starting to empty and I decided to try the Higgenson bulb in the hose. I gave it a very gentle squeeze and nothing much happened, so I gave it a harder squeeze and felt a little squirting sensation. I let go of the pipe and it stayed in place pretty well, so I gave the rubber bulb a hard two-handed squeeze and then I felt it, but I felt it more as extra water forcing its way into me and less as a squirting sensation.

I let the bulb refill and then gave it another hard squeeze and did this four or five times in a row. That I felt and I began to feel very very full and I really had to go to the bathroom bad. I gave it one more hard squeeze and half way through I suddenly had to poop RIGHT NOW! and pulled the pipe out of my butt and hopped onto the toilet. I was amazed at all that came out, both in water and in poop! The bag was about half empty, so I had probably taken about a quart, which is pretty good for a ten year old! I must have been constipated because poop and enema water just kept shooting out of me for what seemed like hours. When I finally stood up from the toilet, I felt light as a feather. It was the best enema I'd ever had!
