Ellen: Like you, I also bought a Shy syringe because it did appear to be both small and convenient - the "small" was OK, but NOT the "convenient" part. At the time, I already had a folding douche which I liked just fine (still do), but still wanted something that would lend itself to use for a quick cleanup, as for example after sex in the morning to avoid the drippies. I decided to try a bulb douche (a 10 oz. Faultless), and while it's certainly not nearly as compact as the Shy, it does solve the handling problem in the shower. I find that the 10 oz. is enough for drippies avoidance, and it's easy to fill at the bathroom sink on the way in to the shower.

I have a couple of close friends who have said that they use Shy syringes, and like them. Personally, I'm glad I tried the bulb, as it's ideal for the quick morning cleanup purpose, and it IS convenient.
