In reply to: Januya 's message, "Oh, the arrogance." on 16:57:58 04/13/06 Thu

((S'aight. Please don't eat me if Tee reacts a little too grouchily. :3))

The Kumayaki nods in response to Redan's suggestion, the determined look in her eyes and the set to her jaw affirming her agreement with his plan. She was quite proud of this little group of renegades, each of them showed great promise and had high levels of intelligence and strength- with varying degrees of temperament throwing some interest into the mix. To put it shortly, Tee felt confident that even if they could not retake her beloved Terole, they would take great steps in annoying the ever living daylights out of the Drakkan menace. She was satisfied and almost comfortable in this little group of warriors, and had Januya not snapped back to Redwood's grandson she might have relaxed into the calm, collected mindset of a focused warrior. A warrior content with her place in a highly efficient team. But instead the tense stiffness in her muscles remained. Not all was well in paradise. She couldn't relax, not yet.

The Tarok's remarks, the cocky arrogance that had oozed from her every pore, coated every hair shaft, worked too much havoc on the once-Guardian's frayed nerves. Whence last she prowled beneath Terole's butterscotch sky she might have kept her chocolate muzzle shut. But perhaps it was the time that had passed since, or perhaps it was the bleak outlook of their mission. Maybe her slip of temper was brought on by Januya's sarcasm and disrespect of Redwood's grandson. The living meld of two Originals' bloodlines, two Originals that she had had the priveledge of hunting with. She was clearly defensive of her great friend, but so it seemed she was defensive of her line, as well.

"You know not the future, Tarok, and if I did not know you were such a beast as you are- a warrior and pilot worthy of respect that you do not seem to show yourself- I would say you do not know just how much a difference a band of creatures defending their home can make. An army of Drakka may look formidable, but more formidable is the spirit that dwells deep inside every Renegade's heart." She prowls a little closer to the pilot, still giving Januya some space but coming close enough to get her point across. The fur along her spine stood up and a faint pink glow tinged the edges of her eyes. "Do not underestimate our potential. And do not spread lies. I don't presume to be the leader here and I know you are as mighty a warrior as any. I recognize that we're aware of the facts, of the overwhelming task we have before us. Being realistic is one thing. Pessimistic is another." She pauses, glancing at Redan. The tip of her tail danced in midair as she gazed slowly at each of the creatures in the room. "Now is the time to come together. If we're going to win this war we have to work as a team. I realize that each of you have seen your share of battles. And I hope... I hope that we can give each other enough respect to convince our respective home planets that we can do some good here. If we can prove ourselves worthy to deserve our planets sending a larger force, perhaps Terole's outlook won't look so bleak."

She ends her lengthy speech with a long look at Redan before slowly walking a small distance away, still in hearing distance but hopefully out of the center of attention. She knew he was fully capable to stand up to Januya's remarks. He could just as easily get in her face as Tee could, and might have more business doing so. But the Aya could not stand aside and let division wreak havoc in their ranks. As an afterthought she turned her head over her shoulder and spoke again, her voice softer. "I knew Wureshi and Seleth. Their prodigy would do much to aid our cause. We can't let ourselves become discouraged and fall apart. There may be strength in the Drakka's numbers, but Terole's Renegades have strength of heart."
