Subject: Hello all...

Hi everyone. I just wanted to wish you all a good weekend. I still visit the board regularly, but don't--obviously--post. I keep my eye on everyone, however. :-)

I'm glad to see that the group has remained relatively in tact. I still think about the old days with RJR. So much has changed, but the spirit is still here.

Take care,

Joseph

Okay, seriously... how have we NOT gotten together yet? I live in east Plano now. You can't be more than 20 min away!

So glad you checked in to say hello. Hope you are staying cool in this crazy heat!

We really should. We're connected by many different highways. East Plano is not even twenty minutes away.

This heat is AWFUL. I'm very bothered by it. : (

I wasn't aware of the The Garnet Red...Is this your first novel? I know you also write children's literature, but this looks as though it has a more historical theme that adults (like I pretend to be) in it.

I've been reading a ton of books by Oscar Wilde (he is brilliant, and funny), Dickens, and other authors of that era...I'm so drawn to your page, and that era...Thank you for posting!

Hi Doni,

Thanks for looking. I love Oscar Wilde, too. I'm especially fond of Dickens and always tried to model my literature for children after his structure.

The Garnet Red is my first novel for adults, yes. Now that I'm working independently, I thought I'd spread my wings.

Let me free my inner-Cher and say that, "if I coudl trun back time," I would live in the late Nineteenth Century. I'd be willing to give up some comfort in exchange for the culture and atmosphere. But, since I'm not going to be able to do that, I can admire it from afar.

Take care. It's got to be brutally hot where you are, too.

Love the blog and your way of thinking. I've always kind of felt like I was born into the wrong period of history. I'm going to continue to follow your blog, if you don't mind :) How is Bertie?

I just bought your book on Amazon! Can't wait to read it! Would it be too much trouble to autograph mine as well? It would mean a lot to me.

Thanks so much, Diane!

Bertie is doing very well. He's a happy boy. He appreciates you asking.

And, yes, I'd be happy to. Just email me.

Have a great night!

Joseph

Hey, Katt! Can you email me please. I seem to have misplaced your email address. I'm on a different computer than I was the last time we emailed.

Thanks!

Joseph

hope you don't mind, I nabbed your email, too...I would just LOVE a signed copy, as well. :) I don't want to be a bother tho'! :*) Maybe you could just get Bertie to stamp it with his paw? That would be special, too. ;)

Nab all you want! Feel free to write me anytime! Bertie would be happy to put his pawprint on the book, but I wouldn't encourage it. Can't you see me scrubbing one inky pawprint off my floors? : )

I was just going to take a quick look, but found myself clicking on many of the entries. I plan to go back later and check it out some more.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Thanks for keeping in touch.

I am guessing you have to be a member of one of those groups, but I'm not. Anyway, if I figure out how, I will comment.

I figured it out. Whew! You can now post annonymously or with your name and a URL in addition to those other ways. So, no one has to be a member of any profile.
