Subject: Plane crash in my backyard and circus animals truck overturned

http://savannahnow.com/latest-news/2012-11-18/police-coast-guard-searching-chatham-county-plane-did-not-land-schedule

I don't think they had any serious injuries but I am so against this abuse of animals for any reason, money, so called entertainment, etc.
I know the pilot in the above article didn't survive but he made a choice.
He knew there were risks involved. In the other situation, we have an obligation to take good care of our beautiful animals. (stepping off my soapbox, for a minute)
Thanks for hearing me out.

I was upset to learn of that tragedy.
I then read of the circus animals. It's all sad. Human life is such a gift. I hope you understand my sentiments. I love animals and feel the need to look after them.

I have 4 more dumpster cats - George, Scruffy Monkey
And now brand new babies (girls) called Sam and Charlie.

Oh and an ancient dog (born circa 1993) raising hell because I forgot to mention him and he knows what I'm cookin' for Thanksgiving. :-)

We have many dumpster cats, they seek us out.
Jinx (the black one)
BigTinyLittle (the white one)
Sarge (the grumpy one)
Uncle Rabbit (the ugly one)

then we have the brother and sister, Bunny and Scooter.

I love those names.
Sarge - bet he has a grouchy face!

My brother renamed one of mine 'The Sheriff' and I told him he was trying to be nice because he really wanted to call him Boss Hogg. He is a big ol' boy. I tried to put a harness on him so I could take him out for exercise but my brother and I ended up laughing our heads off. Poor fat boy just looked at us like we were demented. Still get a laugh out of that situation. I'm trying to do better about taking up the food. Problem is, I have some very small cats, too.
It's sad because I know he needs to lose weight. I'm still working on it. He isn't interested in a weight loss program at the moment.
You know, Thanksgiving and all.... ;-)

[> More thoughts about the plane crash -- Lisa, 16:27:11 11/20/12 Tue [1] (adsl-72-152-14-149.asm.bellsouth.net/72.152.14.149)

My house is between Hunter Army/Air Force base and Fort Stewart Army base.
It has been home for about 30 years.
I could almost tell you if a plane was on a different course/pattern. I'd have to hold the phone sometimes because they would be coming in to one or the other base. Huge planes! I love our military men and women.
I have big windows in my bedroom and would have bad dreams about having to go out and rescue people from a plane crash.
Strange how the mind works. This was a small plane and one lost soul. It just reminded me of past memories.

I hope you enjoy this holiday with your loved ones.

(and most importantly #1 Notre Dame wins)

visiting my brother so I wasn't home at the time. I've heard a lot about it. He crash landed in the back of our houses in the marsh. I would like to know more about it because he probably did his best to avoid taking out anyone on the ground. Heroic on his part and I'm sad he didn't survive.
