Subject: Well there is an acid you can get for bricks

My neighbor used it to clean the brick on our neighborhood entry sign. I think they sell it at the hardware store...
I like the look of the brick. If you are working with a real estate agent I would ask them for their opinion, they usually have people they can call for help for things like that relatively cheap.

Hubs used it when he did some tuck pointing and needed to clean off excess. First, though, just try a pressure washer as obviously working with the acid is a hassle. We like brick too, unpainted at that.(and unpainted wood...)
