Subject: I have my first dog ever!!!!

Well she is a puppy actually and I literally can not keep my hands off her..I just love her so much. I hope it isn't a bad thing to keep loving on her so much. I have never had a doggie so I am trying to learn everything at once. I know how to do cats and kids....not dogs! Especially a puppy. I am kind of afraid I will mess her up. Cats are so easy in comparison.I just want to be sure I do everything right. She is a little snuggle bunny and loves to be held and get belly rubs. She is an austrailan sheperd corgi mix we think...super cute and really smart. At least I think so:) My cat Cleo is not liking the puppy at all...she growls at her and boxes her face(she has no claws) when the puppy gets near...but the dumb cat keeps coming into the room we have the puppy set up in...I don't know if she is curious or just has alzheimers and forgets. We aren't forcing it just letting the cat get to know the puppy on her own terms...I just hope they might eventually be friends....but it isn't looking promising.
Anyway I just wanted to share my happy news...I might be asking for lots of advice from you guys that have dogs:)

and the one's I've seen in action seem smarter than humans! Corgi's ... all I know is the Queen of England seems partial to them, so they must be special! OH and ITA ... need pix. :)

PSS speaking of a mix you're not sure about? Thank you for rescuing a pootie (or wasthat a 'special order' from a breeder? I'm thinking....not. lol
