The first Emma stayed in New York when they moved the production the LA. I'm not sure why they changed the most recent Emma. She was cute if not unusually cheerful.

yeah, I knew why they had to give up OrigEmma, but NuEmma, admittedly cheerful, was very sweet. It's like this one is suddenly younger - ?

She DOES seem younger. We're a day behind here, so I just saw her for the first time. She looks a good two years younger. *Shrugs* Probably the same reason Colby aged ten years overnight and then stayed there for four years while different actors played the part.

Emma is Annie's daughter. Annie was artificially inseminated with Ryan's "seed" before she moved to Pine Valley. Ryan, it seems, used to sell his "seed" (I use the word because it's soooo icky) for money when he was a young grifter. Of course, she just HAPPENED to come to Pine Valley and randomly meet the man who donated the sperm. That happens all the time. Right?
