Subject: it matters more how a person uses the 4-track. Anybody can hit record. But to create something like Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt, you have to have something NAR is sorely lacking in... imagination and creativity.
In reply to: sfv 's message, "Re: Downloading Chilis/JF stuff ,,,if you know anything about JF, he likes to record music in it's purist form, that is to say with many mistakes, using a 16 track, 8 track and sometimes a 4 track analog recorder, eliminating computers etc...NAR did that, what John Frusciante is capturing with his music NAR also captured it with theirs , weather it be mistakes in the sound quality, a verse, a misplaced note etc... The HolyShitrs from Portland Oregon will be re-recording NAR's classic "Vigorous Lies" I'd guess that NAR really has to suck bad for another band to do such an honor and with much respect." on 09:00:37 12/19/06 Tue

  • Are you covering the 1984 version or the one that is performed by that band that covers all of those songs written by NAR in 1984? I believe that cover band also calls themselves NAR. (NT) -- tmcoil, 13:58:52 12/20/06 Wed (c-68-49-216-106.hsd1.va.comcast.net/68.49.216.106)
