類腫瘤癌(Carcinoid)係癌症o黎講的確唔常見...亦不如其他癌症般容易擴散(但亦有機會擴散到(主要為)肝臟﹐同分泌出激素影響心臟肺部皮膚內分泌等多個器官同系統)--->所以佢醫生要同你照心照肝﹐一來係要搵出有否擴散﹐二來係要睇(如果有)到乜程度。

如果冇擴散則切除腫瘤為主要治療方針﹐癌症發現得早-->切除後5年存活率高達9成。但如果出現轉移(多數去肝﹐但亦有去其他器官如骨､胰臟)5年存活率則降低到5成左右﹐治療方法亦由治療性切除到用抗癌藥物+輔助性切除了。
