Hmmm... the safest approach is to ask your doctor to write you a referral letter to see a skin doctor (dermatologist), as regular doctors are not specialized in treating severe acne with/without hair loss problem (?) associated with it.

From what I can tell you is, acne itself does not cause hair loss even if the acne developed deep into the scalp. It's messy but the hair follicle remain there for healthy hair to grow after the acne subsided. Scratching / squeezing the acne can damage the follicle and can cause hair loss, so you need to avoid that.

As for your acne problem, most acne problem will die down after the age of 25. Treatment include oral and topical antibiotics, and if resistant to treatment retinoids can be tried but has toxicity to babies (so not for women in child bearing age). If the problem persists it's more of an endocrine problem, your doctor will have to refer you to a specialist as well.
