Subject: Telgar Weyr: Dawning of a New Era

4th Interval Pern-- The Red Star draws near. Thread is imminent. The Dragonriders are not sure that the parasitical menace will be coming back. It has been so long since it last fell. Holders are thinking the Dragonriders have outgrown their usefullness. While the political issues on Pern increase so too do the natural disasters. Flames are sweeping the plains of Keroon, threatening the Benden vineyards. (And who doesn't like a good Benden White now and again?) There is an illness, deadly to children that has reached many of the Holds and Telgar Weyr itself. It is rumored that the Retired Weyrwoman has also come down with this illness.

Still there is hope. Golden Adeloth, Senior Queen of Telgar Weyr has recently risen in her tenth mating flight. The Weyr is hoping for a Gold Egg. Candidates will be searched once the Quarantine on the Weyr has been lifted. Are you strong enough to be a dragonrider and defend Pern from the Thread?
