An E-mail message from a friend of mine........

Hi Julia and thank you for sharing this article with us. Yes, I agree
it is time for all civilized people to appreciate US contributions
to the world. It is over a century now that America has opened it's
gates and received people from other countries: People in need of
work, education, and a chance to live in the promise land of freedom.
It is over a century that America has been aiding other nations who
were in need of almost anything we can imagine. America has extended
it's hands many times generously, helping nations financially, supporting
righteous causes and even if it meant sacrificing it's sons. As most intelligent
people understand it is not easy to play the big mother of the world,
sometimes things will go wrong, certain actions will be interpreted differently
and some may not be just. America is controlled by human beings just
like other nations and humans make mistakes. However its contributions
to this world justify it's actions, I believe this is the greatest nation in
history and we should all be proud or if not, at least understand of that
which it stands for! I have never before expressed such opinions because
I am puzzled by those that refuse to see beyond certain actions taken by
the US, furthermore I would like to avoid animosities.
Today America mourns those that were lost on account of these recent
terrorist attacks!
Today America mourns because of those who are were seriously wounded
on account of these recent terrorist attacks!
Today America mourns those who are in pain because they have lost
their loved ones on account of these recent terrorist attacks!
Today America mourns because part of it's spirit has been shattered on
account of these recent terrorist attacks!
Let us all mourn with America by offering our support (donating:blood,charity,etc.),
or by showing compassion and understanding.
