I had a wander around the boat park on Saturday with the RYA Inspector and we spotted a blue BIC Techno (in a very torn board-bag), a Hi-Fly board, and a Mistral board (unfortunately lying under a clinker-build dinghy which has blown off its trolley), all in the undergrowth along the western shore of the lake, beyond the area of the marked boat bays. Does anyone know who owns/uses/used these boards, and if they are still in use? If they are no longer wanted they could be useful for training purposes at the Club, particularly for use on the on-shore simulator, and in the case of the BIC, for onwater tuition. Many thanks! Well, this was well looked after, refurbished combi- trailer, new cover in 2008, at which time it was refurbished with 2 pack polyurethane varnish finish and repainted inside and out. Sails in very good order inc. spinnaker and chute. I paid £650 however as I struggle to get a crew I have not sailed her this year, I am looking for a single handler. It’s a shame to see her go to waste as she’s such a lovely boat and would give enjoyment to the right owner. One owner from new initially sailed at Shotwick but latterly from Ullswater.Sail number 1032-purchased August1991. Freshwater only. Raced rarely only sailed by wife and myself. Parchment hull, ivory deck. MD version has buoyancy so that it floats lower in the water if unlikely capsize occurs.Excellent condition.
