Date Posted: 17:39:06 06/October/09 Tuesday Scorpion 1827 for sale. £950 The boat was built in 1981, by High Performance Boats, and has been garaged for 10 years until it was fully restored this summer (09). The boat includes loads of new ropes and fittings, Milanes rudder and board, and 3 sets of sails. Two sets are old, and one set is old in age but not in use. Plus a combi trailer which has all new wheels, although the launching trolley is a bit rusty! This is an ideal club boat and in the right conditions will still be competitive at open meetings. Stood for almost 10 years and the hull is now in very poor condition in places, though the boat, mast, sails and trailer are complete. Alloy mast, boom, sails, genoa in good condition. One owner from new initially sailed at Shotwick but latterly from Ullswater.Sail number 1032-purchased August1991. Freshwater only. Raced rarely only sailed by wife and myself. Parchment hull, ivory deck. MD version has buoyancy so that it floats lower in the water if unlikely capsize occurs.Excellent condition.
