nONONO, I think they are talking about pageant coaches and their groups -- Anonymous, 11:33:47 11/06/09 Fri [1]
no, wrong thing! They are talking about pageant groups like TKO! I see it this way, if someone wants to invest into their child, by all means go for it. I know it seams unfair to those who don't hire a pageant coach hoever, it's just like any sport, they more you practice, invest in better equipement or get lessons to improve like tennis does not make them cheaters it makes them want to win more or know how to be more creative, nothing wrong with that! I think the more creative you are, and how you present yourself like hey I'm having fun , I would love to see you on stage. I know the economy is bad so can't all get a coach but have you ever watched other people, you could learn a few things or two on your own, I know most pageant moms will help too. Also, not everyone needs a coach, it's all up to the child if their pareants have them in for the right reasons! LOL!

Re: So who are you actually talking about? -- Anonymous, 06:58:56 11/18/09 Wed [1]
I was asked a question and tried to AVOID specifically naming pageant names and STILL get dis'ed! LMAO. I do not own a system, although I would like to in the future, because I want to know and I want my daughter to know shes winning because she GOOD and not because I am bartering services or exchanging favors. Its a little different from sports...duh...a football team is not going to win because I bought the other teams coach a steak dinner. Football is objective and based on touchdowns etc. Pageantry is very subjective and a director can instruct judges on who should win or lose. There is no definitive right or wrong choice. So if football teams all go out to eat together it can't affect the score but directors having dinner and then trading entries and competing in each others systems...sorry not the same. I already KNOW someone will debate this and thats fine...but to the moms reading this and putting out their HARD EARNED money to compete in "Mom and pop" systems...just think about it. I assume your intelligent enough to spend your money wisely. And if your dd has already competed and won it means nothing to me because you could be anybody...even the director or the barter trading other systems director or the directors best friend...posting about it. Just having it in print does not make it so. And yes you could apply the same rule to this but the director has motivation to defend their system where as I just am trying to help you save your money.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Pageants are like a sport, you never know who is going to win, just like you dont know how judges are going to score. You have to practice like a sport and dress the part. I've never heard of pageant judges choosing who they want because of their kids compete in each others systems? SO what! Most pageant directos have kids or have had kids in pageants. I think your trying to make trouble and it's really stupid. You need to get a grip on yourself. If you feel a system is not fair, dont waste YOUR MONEY ON IT and move on to one that you like. From what your saying, you must have heard something, so say it? Who are we talking about then? Share details if you dont want people to NOT GO. I can tell you I'm not a director, just a curious mom of two confused on your comments. If your concerned or want us to know about which systems to avoid, is it based on facts , you have proof of cheaters or are you going by your opinions?

Now I am confused. You say I must be a "trying to make trouble" even though I do not name a pageant system yet go on to ask me to name a pageant system. If I name the system all that will happen is the director will jump on incognito or the mothers whose girls "won" will jump on in defense and the system will get more publicity then it deserves.
Like Angelic Kids. I happen to know AR and she is an awesome director who has always had fair pageants. My daughter has not always won but I could always see why the one who did win won. But someone says she cheated them out of money (I have trouble believing this but who knows? I will continue to give her my money with no worries) and the only thing the poster did by bashing her was get the information about her pageant out there. I am personally glad because I am excited to hear about the upcoming pageant. All the basher did was get her one more contestant. Some people come on here and make stupid threats (The police do not give a rats azz about accusations like this...take it to small claims court) that can never be followed thru on.
But, reading your post, it appears that even if you say I am wrong you must have some doubts or you would not ask me to give more info. And it is not the same as football...noone can debate whether a touchdown was made but this board proves continually that you can debate whether a title was truly earned. I am not looking for trouble...I am just trying to get mothers thinking about who they hand their money over to. Why pay for a pageant you already lost?
