(He didnt get his hackles up when Braden bristled at him, mostly because he understood the other man's resignation and because he found it amusing that people got so miffed that he was back in training. He'd lost twenty pounds of laziness, had gotten back into an old wardrobe and had gained so much self confidence that he was able to sit here and not feel judged for remy's actions.) Remy is above a lot of the shit, Braden. He may seem like he's judgemental or odd, but you don't know a lot about what makes him what he is. I am back in training because I got fat and careless. (He said honestly, which was mostly true.. dying had that sort of effect on you. He frowned as he listened to Braden talk about Reese, wondering just what was going on with the two of them.. why Braden had trailed off the way he had. He knew BRaden looked out for the girl, but he hadn't really thought that Braden might develop feelings for her.. she was seventeen after all.. but then Braden was only eight years older than that.. and it wasn't really that much of a stretch. When you lived with someone it was easy to develop feelings for them.) Sounds like she cares about you.. kind of hard to keep a strong-minded woman from dogging you when they care. (He made that sympathetic face, pursing his lips a little before taking a long drink of his beer. He smirked a Braden's analogy, thinking about Petey the Parakeet.) Please tell me you are not referencing Dumb and Dumber. (He leaned his elbows on the bar and stifled a bit of a yawn before finishing his beer and signaling for another, all the while watching his friend light up. Defintiely not a typical cigar.)
