(She found the ride home to be warm and comfortable, even enjoying the companionable silence that had fallen between them. It was nice to know that they had grown comfortable enough with each other that neither felt the need to fill every moment with mindless words. During that ride, she had let her mind wander again, and immediately it had gone back to the idea that since he had given her the hoodie that he meant to let any other marines know that she was his. A quick glance in his direction had her smiling to herself.. it wouldn't be so bad being his.. in fact, it could be downright wonderful.. it was the part about him going off on missions that made it difficult to stomach. Everything about her lit up something inside of her, to the point that she missed him moments before he even left in the morning and she thought about him so frequently throughh the day it was like he was with her anyways. She had always thought it was an immature infatuation with a positively gorgeous man.. but now she was starting to recognize it as her heart and body's way of letting her know that he was right for her. She had her lip between her teeth as she considered all this, analyzing it all as though emotions could be graphed and the perfect end result reached. ALl of this made the ride home seem impossibly short, and as they arrived at the apartment building she found herself surprised they were there already, and then pleased immensely as he came to let her out of the passenger door. It was nice to have his arm around her waist as they walked, and when he asked his question, she realized it was nice looking up at him as well.) Sort of.. (She murmured back, admitting that he had relaxed her enough to make her sleepy. She could probably handle a movie.. but she'd probably fall asleep during it.) Why don't we lay down and put a movie in.. I'll probably fall asleep sometime during it anyways. (She added, then laughed softly at his random comment as she sat down on the arm of the sofa to take off her boots. She lovingly ran her hand over the suede before carefully setting them aside and looking up at him. For a moment her expression was soft, and then a smile spread over her features.. she was recalling their evening together.. and his kiss.. and it made that soft adoring look sink into her features.)
