] Date Posted: 03:40:00 07/21/06 Fri Had dinner w/ Lisa last night (some of you know her as BaaBaaLisa!) - Drove an hour and met 1/2 way as we often do as she's in Toledo, I'm here in Southwest MI. Seeing her was exactly what I needed. It's been kind of rough out here lately - things are sucky at work and I am just mentally and emotionally spent. We chatted, laughed, solved the problems of the world. I left there feeling completely renewed. I tell you all this because Lisa and I met 10 years ago through a weird and wonderful little world we all know as the "online BCR fan base" - So 30 years ago these guys in tartan came into our lives - and changed each of us forever in some way or another. Kinda reminds me of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" - how each person in our lives are placed there for a very specific purpose. How each of us influence events around us each and every day. Had there never been these 5 guys from Scotland (and one S.African, thankyou very much!), my life would be so very different right now. And I would've missed out on having some of the dearest friends ever. Thanks Derek! mary f. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
