] Date Posted: 18:22:44 07/06/06 Thu Okay, so many of you know that I have two musical obsessions - the BCR (which would include Sir Duncan) and Sister Hazel (and for those of you who don't know them - they're almost a southern rock style band - primarily a touring band but had a few hits: "All For You" and "Change Your Mind" as well as being on the soundtrack to "10 Things I Hate About You" w/ a song called "Your Winter") Anyway, I just saw them live for the 3rd time this past weekend. HUGE crowd. Many of us knew the words to every song and sang along. At times, practically drowning out the lead singer, Ken Block. I acquired a newfound respect for our Scottish guys that night. As I thought of how completely distracting we had to be - in our excitement to sing along...how they could hear themselves was beyond me. 'Course nowdays these bands all have the ear- whatever- you- call- it so they can hear themselves. But what of our Rollers? How - in all that noise - did they have ANY idea where they were in a song?? In the days before all the technological advancements? Kudos guys! www.myspace.com/fouruhfan [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
